Training begins!
Just a short post. I'm back on a structured training programme now. Am working with Lisa Morgan, a good friend and a pro-elite XC mountainbiker who also coached me last season for Karapoti. Am looking forward to how I go this season with one season of training behind me (apparently it takes more than one season to get fastererer!). First day of the programme yesterday and it was a nice, easy recovery road ride with the Capitelles, a women's road cycling group. The next couple of weeks, it's mainly training on the road. At least the nights are a little bit longer now! I've got a road ride scheduled for today also, but I might swing by the Velodrome (first night of the Track season today) and spectate/partake in some Track skills and drills! :)

Hey Celia!
My dad used to ride the Karapoti Classic back when we were in NZ. I was never good enough or brave enough to ride that one. (i was only about 15 at the time we did all the maountain biking... I remember him having a BIG stack on the devil's staircase. He pulled all the still of his elbow to the bone. He finished the race, and at home I had to do all the dressings because my mother was a wimp...lol
very funny
I think the most exciting race that I ever did was the "Coast to Coast" fun run....??? we actually went with Nicola lesilie and her dad if i remember correctly. I could be wrong though.
Have done some sections of Karapoti though on training rides.
Have Heaps of fun
